Mr. Rodney T. Childers 

Mr. Childers is a native of San Antonio, TX, and a 2001 graduate of Sam Houston HS, where he participated in the Varsity Marching, Concert, and Jazz Bands as well as the Concert Choir and various sports.

After high school, Mr. "C" enlisted in the US Navy and served as an Operations Specialist for 4 year during Operation Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom. 

Mr. Childers earned his B.A. in Music Education from Huston-Tillotson University in May of  2012. He Has taught various grades and subjects in Pflugerville, Houston, Mcdade, and Hearne ISDs.

Mr. Childers is an accomplished musician with a principal instrument of Tuba and Voice. He has performed with various groups at Carnegie Hall in New York City, The Kennedy Center in Washington D.C., and numerous states and countries.

Mr. Childers is an active member of the Texas Music Educators Association, Texas Black Music Educators, Texas Bandmasters Association, and Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc.
